Create a multimedia document with SMIL

Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language (SMIL) is a W3C specification designed to enable the integration of diverse multimedia content (images, sounds, text, videos, animations, text streams, etc.) by synchronizing them to create multimedia presentations. SMIL is a language in the XML family. The XML structure of a SMIL document describes the temporal and spatial sequence of the various integrated components. In other words, SMIL allows you to specify when content will be displayed, for how long, and in what area of the display window.

This course on the SMIL language was taught in the Master 2 Research - Computer Science and Telecommunications in Toulouse (Paul Sabatier University) from 2008 to 2012 and in the Professional Bachelor's Degree in Computer Systems and Software (2010-2016). The SMIL language can be used within a web page by importing the SMIL Timesheets library.
